Hi,
I have just upgraded to CrachPlan 3
Did a download, Edited the install.sh
Deleted all BUT "conf", "cache" and "manifest" in my old Crashplan dir
Installed Crashplan using my own guide
Edited /opt/crashplan/bin/CrashPlanEngine with "/opt/bin/bash" fix
NICE.... it works

Hi,
Sorry to say... No you have to it your self... But it only takes 2 min.
Adrian,
did the copy of the .identity file: cp /var/lib/crashp lan/.identity /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/crashplan/
Could you please explain exactly by "and replace it with the symlink"...?
I am not a linux expert so any help is very appreciated
You need to copy out your .identity file from /var/lib/crashp lan to let's say /share/MD0_DATA /.qpkg/CrashPla n/ and replace it with the symlink as /var/lib/crashp lan doesn't survive the reboot...
If still unclear PM me on the qnap forums [spoon.uk]and I shall explain further...
I have had problems with the previous version; everytime the QNAP was rebooted I lost my settings and had to reinstall according to Michaels guide. (A ./crashplan start or restart only started the service for a few seconds).
Now, after the new version, the service suddenly stopped again. I think it is because of an automated update process..
and I think my problem lies in the edit of the install.sh
Is there any chance that one of you guys that has a CP running confi that can sustain a reboot, can post your edited script?
That would help tremendously.. thanks!!
